I’m a freelance writer and editor with over two years of experience in digital media. I’ve written everything from personal essays to researched pieces on health and wellness to the latest in celebrity news. My work has been published on Cosmopolitan.com, SheKnows, Scary Mommy, Yahoo Parenting, Mommyish, and more. I’ve also appeared as a commentator for a parenting piece on ABC’s Nightline, as well as in the popular eBook series, Life Well Blogged.
I currently live in Omaha, Nebraska, with my husband and our two kids. I grew up in the Dallas area, but spent my formative years in Southern California, which explains my flaming liberalism and my inability to tolerate any weather that isn’t sunny and 75 degrees. I graduated from the University of North Texas in 2009 with a degree in English, and I’ve been writing professionally since 2014. Prior to launching my freelancing career, I taught English at a private academy in South Korea and worked as an activities coordinator for an after-school program in Plano, Texas.
I’m passionate about creating content that is both engaging and substantive. My content area specialties include parenting, sex and relationships, pop culture/celebrity/entertainment writing, and anything with a focus on women’s health and wellness. Between projects, I’m also hard at work on a book of humor essays.
In my spare time, I enjoy drawing, reading, cooking, working out, sports (especially baseball and football), relaxing with my family, and spending entirely too much time in front of the television.
